Builders in Redditch

We are builders in Redditch that provide a wide range of home improvement services to the residents of Redditch and the surrounding areas. We are based only minutes away from Headless Cross, Webheath, Hunt End, Callow Hill and Astwood Bank. We have worked on many properties undertaking a variety of work. In the majority of cases this will be some kind of renovation, general home improvement, garage conversion or home extension. Often this involves a kitchen or bathroom fit or supply and fit. We are often recommended by or re-booked by existing customers.

Being based locally we like to use local suppliers such as Buildbase, Pochin, Plumbfix, SEW and Moredale Electrical Wholesalers.

We have a great relationship with the local building inspectors and are used to keeping in close contact with them at every key stage of a project, be that an extension, renovation or garage conversion.

As experienced builders in Redditch we can generally advise when building regulations are required and when planning permission needs to be sought.

A common question we are asked is What is the difference between planning permission and building regulations?

Essentially, planning rules determine whether you are allowed to go ahead with your building project once the overall appearance/impact of your proposal has been considered alongside the existing environment.  Building regulations set standards for the design and construction of buildings to ensure the safety and health of those in the building; following the agreed specifications will ensure structural stability.

Be assured that if required we are able to arrange for you to see some of our previous work by appointment.

So what’s the next step?

If you would like to book a free consultation, please contact Alison at 01527 542079. From there she will take details of your proposed works and arrange a mutually convenient timeslot and date. Jason will visit to meet you at your home or the site of your project and provide you with a quotation shortly after his visit. Should you decide to proceed with Creating Better Homes we will discuss and agree start dates and then arrive as planned to start work and remain with your project until completion.

If this sounds like the kind of service you are looking for and want some additional reassurance, please read some feedback below from just two of our delighted customers in Redditch.

Simply a great experience

We had our spare room done (skylight, radiator, wall with hatch, full insulation, spotlights installed). Simply a great experience. Jason has a fantastic team, the boys worked hard and finished the job bang on time. Very professional, polite and they kept the disruption to a minimum. I really appreciated the fact that Jason also advised and made new suggestions what would work better as we went along and we are super happy with the result. Also no hidden costs and great communication throughout. Will have you guys in again for the next job. Thanks!

Mr & Mrs Underwood in Redditch - Alteration work to spare room - February 2018

A great family space

Jason and his team completed a new elevated garage roof, took out an internal wall to open up our conservatory and kitchen, liaised with our conservatory provider to ensure works were integrated, gutted and fitted a new kitchen. At planning stage, Jason worked with us to provide practical ideas which would help us achieve our dream space. Once on site, the team were courteous and very hardworking. The quality of work was to a high standard. Once on site, the team turned up every day, we never had an issue with builders not showing up or just doing a few hours. Jason ensured he was on site every day. Having heard horror stories about other builders, we were so pleased we chose Creating Better Homes! In summary, professional, fair and easy to do business with. We would definitely recommend Creating Better Homes and will use them again in the future.
